My daughter, her husband and baby boy were in for a visit. It was pure joy for me. My grandson is so cute with his dimples and blond curls. The time was too short. But I got to hold my kids and hug them, cook for them - it's an old southern thing. You have to stuff the ones you love.:)
My husband did his Buffalo wings - yummy! My daughter loved them.
We have been traveling a great deal. Buffalo, New Orleans, and next month we head to Tampa, FL. Then in late October or early November we fly to Kodiak to see my daughter and the new baby. Whoo hoo!
Back on my diet, I enjoyed the summer too much! My husband's blood pressure has been - not good. He is worried about his job and things are very unstable work wise at the moment. Please keep us in your prayers.
Hope everyon had a great summer.

Father, I pray for Martha's husband. I pray in Jesus' name that his blood pressure would come down to a safe, healthy place. But more than that, Lord, I pray that he will successfully cast his burdens on You, knowing that You care for him. I pray that Your peace would guard his heart and his mind in Christ Jesus. And I pray Your will be done in his work situation. Help him to trust You in this, Lord. And, Father, give Martha your peace as well. Wrap Your arms around the two of them. May they feel the safety of Your presence. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Thank you for your prayers
Thank you so much. David is 51 and the prospect of looking for another job is alittle overwhelming, especially if your health is not the best.I'll keep you guys posted on the job situation. I know that God has a place just for him.
